A very hyped up bagel shop that does deserve the hype! Just like a majority of the reviews, it is a bit steep on the price for the quantity of what you get but it's more so about quality here! I got the Crunchy California Almond Butter w/ Sqirl Strawberry Rose Geranium Jam on a Sesame Bagel and it was very flavorful!! Great quality jam and almond butter! Although, the jam and butter wasn't evenly distributed on my bagel which I wasn't expecting for the price. One side is butter other is jam. I impulsively did get the lavender lemonade which was good but a little too small for the price. I got there around 9:30 and it was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait that long to order, probably about 5 minutes. There is some seating area but it is pretty hard to get an open table, you kinda just have to be at the right place at the right time to get a table. The staff are super friendly and helpful! I will be coming back to try a plain bagel and some shmear!

I've Seen courage bagels all over Instagram. However, I never knew where in LA to find these amazing and beautiful bagels, but my friend surprised me with them. The line was long. The staff is great and even provided umbrellas to protect us from the heat. We got the bagels salmon eggs, I believe and that was absolutely delicious. Their bagels are so light and not heavy at all! I will definitely be back. It is expensive, about 20-24 bucks for one of their specialty bagels.

Not going to lie, before trying this place I was like how good can a bagel get...and this place definitely proved me wrong Would have to say it's a little pricey ~ almost $30 for a sandwich if you max out your options. But this isn't something I'd get everyday, so I'd say it's worth I got the hand cut salmon lox and also the salmon roe. Have to say the lox was for the win, the salmon roe one was too salty for my liking and overall was not really a fan of the texture with the bagel. The bagel itself was super yummy and toasted on both sides with the perfect amount of softness, not the traditional kind of bagel so I'm wondering if it's made the same way. Nonetheless super tasty. Wait time wasn't too bad on a busy Sunday, you probably just have to fight for a spot because there is limited outdoor seating.

As someone who would put a Lox bagel on my death row meal list, I can be a harsh critic when it comes to them. These absolutely blew me out of the water! Every single one was delicious (special shout out to the tomato one, an unexpected star). I went on a Friday at around 11am and there was a line, but the staff was passing out umbrellas and the line moved at a decent pace. I do wish there was a bit more seating, but that's a minor detail. Would absolutely come back anytime I'm in LA! I'm jealous of people that can eat this every week

4.5 stars rounded up to 5. It was about a 20-30 minute wait on a Friday afternoon. for the bagels in addition to waiting to place our order. Therei is seating outside by the shop so it's a very casual place to pick up your bagel fix. The person waiting the outside tables was really nice! I order 2 full bagels to split with my friend: - smoked salmon (4/5): soooo good. The lox was thinly sliced. We got this one on the burnt everything bagel which was good seasoning. Almost perfect bc I would've preferred for a touch of lemon pepper or any kind of citrus on it. - run it thru the garden (5/5): might be my fave between the 2. Very refreshing and light but filling. Recommend that you get it on the sesame bagel! So good my friend and I split a second one LOL. Bagels are on the thinner side. The outside is crispy but the inside is chewy. Don't expect the big fluffy, dense NY bagels. | t l ; d r | I wish I didn't like this place so much because it's not the most convenient to get to. The bagels are expensive and the wait is long... but they're dang good!! Will make it back next time to spend the morning waiting for these bagels.

I'm not big on bagels but I loved this spot and I totally get the hype. I haven't had many bagel spots in LA, but these were the best bagels I've ever had. I could see the bagels being made fresh in the back and each bite of the bagel was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I came on a Monday morning around 10am and the wait was about 10-15 mins. Street parking was a bit difficult but I was able to find parking in a small lot a block away. Seating is outdoors with a few small tables and chairs. The 2 of us ordered three different bagel halves of different kinds and we enjoyed them a lot! - Smoked Salmon on everything bagel 4.5/5 - Salmon Roe on plain bagel 5/5 - Run it Thru the Garden 4/5 My favorite bagel was the salmon roe because it was so delicious and also relatively easier to eat than the others. The roe gave the bagel a good amount of flavor and saltiness. The smoked salmon was really good but a bit too salty with the capers for my liking. The garden bagel was essentially cucumbers, tomatoes, and capers which tasted solid but difficult to get a good bite without making a mess. All the bagels were delicious with the cream cheese spread and I loved the consistency of them all. Overall I loved Courage Bagels and would definitely come back on a weekday. Probably wouldn't come on weekends after hearing about the long waits. It is on the pricier side of about $10 for half a bagel but it was pretty worth. Parking in LA is inevitably atrocious but the bagels make up for the struggle.
